Tips on Thinking Healthy!

If you want to be healthy, you’ve got to think healthy! But simply thinking about it won’t get you there by itself. It’s important to maintain your body so that it’s in prime condition to carry you through the rest of your life.

One way to help stay in good health is to ensure your body gets all of the rest it needs. It’s important to maintain a regular sleeping schedule and to get a proper amount of sleep every night. If you feel tired during the day, it’s okay to take a 15 minute nap to help counter-act typical daily exhaustion.

Maintain a good exercise program, to make sure your body is able to better burn fat, maintain blood sugar levels, and to lower your risk of heart disease. A good exercise program ideally includes aerobic activity and a bit of “weight/resistance” training 2 to 3 times per week.

But, simply walking around your neighborhood every other day will help you to maintain a healthy body weight, good cardiac health and will help your general overall sense of health and well-being.

Make sure you drink plenty of water, this can’t be stressed enough. Your body is made up largely of water. If you don’t drink water, the lack of water will actually dehydrate you- regardless of whether you are drinking other liquids or not.

Water helps nourish body tissues and replenishes fluids and electrolytes that are lost during sweating or passed through the body. Water will help your bodily organs to work properly, and can even help flush fat and toxins from your body as well.

To be healthy, start small and work your way up- make small changes to your diet and exercise routines, and you’ve begun the process of thinking healthy!
